Blackthorn or Sloe in blossom and the fresh green of the willow trees in bud along the banks of the Great River Ouse near Houghton in Huntingdon created layers of reflections and shadows on the sunlit water.
This is a favourite haunt of mine as seals come here from the Wash, as well as black-headed terns, and birds of prey.
